We are Matt and Crystal, two Navy veterans who traded life at sea for land restoration in Oak Harbor, WA. As a dual-veteran operated and female-owned business, we founded Twisted Anchors to reflect our shared heritage and the stability we provide to local landowners. The anchors symbolize our firm commitment to serving the community with the same humble discipline we learned while in uniform, while the 'twisted' part of our name reflects the real, imperfect life we are building together as a team—learning, growing, and doing hard work side by side. We had one simple idea of homesteading and living off our land; unfortunately it was covered in berry bushes and other brush hindering our plans. This became our mission and joy - to replace the unusable land with gardens and less intrusive ground cover and utilize all of our property and keeping the nutrients in the soil to promote growth. We care deeply about soil health and safe land use because we believe that stewardship starts at the roots; restoring the Earth's natural balance is how we honor the local landscape for future generations. We combine our individual strengths to ensure every project is completed with precision, mutual respect, and an honest day's work. We look forward to working with you to improve your land together!
